In order to accomplish the Education mission, the Department of Manufacturing and Industrial Management (RO, DFMI) coordinates the following Bachelor Degree programs – Engineers, 4 years:
- Machine Building Technology (TCM)
- Industrial Economic Engineering (IEI)
Machine Building Technology (RO, TCM), is a Bachelor's Degree specialization in Industrial Engineering, established in Romania more than 50 years ago. In the University of Piteşti, the TCM specialization has been operating since 1984 (currently ARACIS accredited).
The Technology Engineer, as the TCM graduate is called, deals with the manufacture of industrial products. The skills he / she gains in the Bachelor studies (computer programming and operating, designing parts and mechanical assemblies, designing technologies and manufacturing equipment for mechanical products, management of product quality and manufacturing processes, research of manufacturing processes) to access a great variety of jobs.
TCM can thus work in any industrial enterprises (automotive or automotive components, industrial goods, industrial equipment and installations, etc.), in companies dealing with designing and developing products and / or technologies, in research institutes or in pre-university or university Education.

Industrial Engineering (IEI) is a specialization that is part of the Engineering and Management field, which emerged in Romania in 1990 as a necessity imposed by the requirements of the market economy. In the University of Piteşti, the IEI specialization was founded in 1999 (currently ARACIS accredited).
The Industrial Economic Engineer, as the IEI graduate is called, acquires interdisciplinary skills of technical, economic and managerial nature (computer programming and operating, designing products and manufacturing technologies, management of product and process systems, production systems management, industrial logistics, economic and financial analysis of industries companies) that enable hiring in different industrial, research or Educational fields.
The Industrial Economic Engineer can thus work at various levels of management or in various departments, especially in sales, marketing, purchasing, production management, logistics, but also in technical departments (design, research, etc.) or Human Resources within different enterprises.
