Issuance of Certificates
The results are communicated at least 24 hours after the time the test is taken, but no later than 5 working days, to the email address used by the candidate for registration. The language proficiency certificates are issued starting from the sixth working day after the date of the test. A certificate of confirmation (temporary statement) attesting the level obtained may be requested and is valid until the LOGOS certificate is issued.
Appeals may be submitted by completing an application (which must include the applicant’s contact details) at the centre’s office. The reassessment of the candidate’s speaking skills will take place at the centre’s premises.
The language proficiency certificate issued by CLS LOGOS follows the scale and descriptors set out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the language policy recommended by the Council of Europe: A1 (beginner), A2 (elementary), B1 (threshold), B2 (intermediate), C1 (advanced), C2 (proficiency/excellence).
If the candidate does not reach the desired level of proficiency, they may register for a new assessment session, which can be taken after a minimum interval of two months from the date of the previous language proficiency test.
According to international practices, the recommended validity period for the results recorded on a language proficiency certificate is two years. Considering that the certificate issued by CLS LOGOS may be used by its holder as proof of their current level of language proficiency even long after the examination date, the following clarifications apply: in the absence of regular use of the language, the level of proficiency may decrease over time; therefore, a language proficiency certificate cannot guarantee the indefinite validity of the assessment results. Consequently, the candidate may be required to provide new evidence demonstrating the use of the respective language in a formal or professional context.
Certificates may be collected only by the candidate or by an authorized person from the CLS LOGOS office (Room B25, Faculty of Theology, Letters, History and Arts – 7 Aleea Școlii Normale Street, Pitești, Argeș, Romania).
